Longer Burn Times

To achieve a longer burn time, our suggestion would be to add more charcoal at the beginning and close down the vents to extend the burn. Typically when you do longer cook times, you want to do it over lower temperatures to cook all the way through the meat. With a big green egg cooker, closing the air vents down should work very well. Because the cooker is airtight, many consumers have lump leftover in their cooker when they are done and re-use it for the next cook.
