Rocks In Lump Hardwood Bags
I consistently get smaller pieces of rock and concrete in my bags during the last 6 months. Today used a bag that contained a 3 lb chunk of rock. You need to address your Quality Control please. I have a picture if you email me I will send to you

Our lump charcoal is produced by using natural hardwoods from newly harvested timber and wood slabs. Each bag of lump charcoal is filtered in the production process to ensure we make the highest quality product. Our screening process is not always 100% successful, but we continually strive to package the highest quality product possible.

Hopefully, this proves helpful and informative.
Glad to know I’m not the only one.
BArstrong: how does that fix the fact that we are finding these rocks in every bag, 1-5 pounds of my 15 pound bag is rocks.
Definitely not 100% successful. I currently have rocks bigger than golf balls sitting in my grill after using Royal Oak Lump.
All done with these shenanigans.
Opened another 15lb bag, this time purchased 6 months apart, still from Walmart, finding rocks the size of a coffee mug. I love this product very much, but need to stop filling bags with rocks to compensate weight. and why only Walmart?
I got a 2 pound rock in my 8 pound bag. Do the math, that's 1/4 of the contents of the bag. On top of that, it's the highest priced charcoal in the store. Yes, I like it, it burns well, it burns long, it burns hot and makes food taste great. Those rocks reduce the number of times I can cook with a bag, making the cost even higher.
